Brockmann, Suzanne. (RS) She is a perfect example of a category author going mainstream - big time. Two series, The Troubleshooter and Tall, Dark & Handsome, feature Navy Seal type characters with women who are equally strong. Sometimes has two threads running in a book, either with a secondary character or a historical back story. Best to read in order to get a handle on the characters and relationships. Some of the older books are being reprinted with slightly different titles, although the covers say "originally published as . . .".

Brown, Sandra. (C, RS) The one thing almost anyone can say about Sandra is that she is prolific. Her career started in the Harlequin type format, branched out to mass market, and went hardcover. She has since changed her focus from traditional love stories to romantic thrillers. To complicate things even more the publishing industry has reprinted many of her earliest category romance paperbacks in hardcover. Listed is a selection of some of my personal favorites.
