Better Business Bureau System: excellent way to check out consumer complaints against a company in which you are interested.
Bureau of Labor Statistics: get the government's best guess about the jobs with the largest projected increase in openings.
Career Magazine: search by profession, check out companies, or use the advice articles.
Corporate Watch looks into the backdoor company policies, practices, and politics.
Employee Benefits Research Institute: the source for research conducted on employee benefits.
Eresumes: lots of resume advice and links. Some for fee services.
GuideStar: provides information on more than 620,000 nonprofit organizations in the U.S.
Hoover's Online: basic information on companies.
Job Hunt: list of annotated index of online job search resources and services.
JobHuntersBible: from Dick Bolles who wrote What Color is Your Parachute and is meant as a supplement to the book. Lots of useful advice.
Resumania: entertaining look at resumes including examples of blunders and mishaps from real-life resumes.
The Riley Guide: probably the best index to the over 13,000 sites devoted to some aspect of job hunting. Listing is kept very up to date.
Vault Reports: more gossipy look at larger companies.
Wet Feet: presents company and industry information.

Career Counseling

Career Paths: use the interactive 10-step career planning guide and more. You must register to use.
HumanMetrics: includes free tests to see what personality type you are, includes analysis and how you adapt to jobs.
Jobweb: quick and practical steps to assess yourself and write a good, basic resume. Aimed at recent college graduates.
The Keirsey Temperament Site: free temperament tests with analysis.

Best Jobs USA: electronic edition of Employment Review magazine plus job listings and company profiles.
BilingualCareer.com: where bilingual job-seekers can search job listings, post a resume, and find job interviewing and resume preparation advice.
