About.com index can be used to find websites on any hobby you can think of. Easy-to-use subject guide will lead you to specific sites for any aspect of a hobby.
The Hobby Portal is broader in scope. Shortcuts are available for the “most popular” hobbies (most are commercial) but there is also a comprehensive directory of hobby sites that include chat sites, clubs, events, etc.
WebRing: Use to participate in highly focused online communities including hundreds of hobbies. Browse or search the Ring directory, consisting of more than 60,000 Rings and 1,000,000 Sites.
Librarian’s Guide to the Internet is a directory of 11,000+ sites, arranged by subject, selected and evaluated by librarians for their usefulness to users of public libraries.

Making Bread Magazine offer Mr. Modem. Read the article Minding Your Bid-Ness on auction safety.
PayPal allows anyone with an email address to send or receive payments online. Often used for auction sites.

Ebay was one of the first auction sites around. You can buy or sell collectibles. Be sure to read safety tips and check ratings on sellers.
Buy or Auction is a real-time auction site that specializes in hobby and collectible merchandise.

Food TV is source for recipes, party ideas, and unique “food” places to visit. One of the best sites for gourmet food and cooking hobbyists.
